After reading so much about the passing of our beloved LEE UBERBACHER who passed this life all too suddenly this last week...and remembering back his profound love for THE RABE BEARCAT...I couldn't help being remembered for one other local modeler in those early days who also was equally taken with the scale CLPA BearCats...I couldn't think of the owner of this BEAR CAT that I am shown here perfoming my judging duties so long ago at our Kent AeroSpace Center parking lot summer contest.
ANY ONE HELP ME ID to remember the owner of this BEARCAT? Some how the name "ROGER" rings a bell in my bellfrey' *GADS! WHAT UGLEEEEEEEPANT'S FOR A JUDGE TO WEAR!! GADS! THE 70 CRAZE IS ACTUALLY STARTING ITS COMEBACK? SOOO HARD TO BELIEVE?
Hey Joe or Gary...this was at this same contest? How are your and the rest of us ol' dope damaged brain cell memory banks for names n' faces doin' these days? n~ n~ ??? ??? LL~ LL~ LL~ H^^ H^^

Wow. Great old pictures. Nice pants Don!
The only guy I knew up there that did Bearcats was Walt Russell. Did he do them in the 70's?..Don't know.
Yes, many memories of the SpaceCenter parking lot. Too bad it's long gone.

Thanks for the pics of the past. I vaguely remember wearing pants like those in high school. That spine does look like it needs attention. My problem is the knee that gave me so many problems thru the years is now my good knee. It's the left one that I need to finish off now. But, I am doing better than a year ago. Hope you find the guy with the Bearcats.

Thanks Doc....
What worries me is the look on my sawbones face when he gave me the news.

Gee Don, I don't know why that spine would cause you any pain. :)
Wow, what is going to be done to "fix" it? Looks pretty nasty. :(

I think another Bearcat person is Jim Lynch.

I think another Bearcat person is Jim Lynch.
I believe he is asking about local fliers to Seattle.

Did Don McC. ever build a Bearcat? When did he come to this area? The reason I'm asking is that the paint and trim is very similar to the Skylark he built. ??? Steve

Fusion of L3 and L4 would do it. I'll bring the Exacto knives and Howard can bring the pre-preg and a heat gun

Hey Donaldo, those pants remind of the pants that Mike Keville was wearing at a free-flight contest at Taft (IIRC) back in the 70's. Who'd a thunk it?
-
Ole Donald probably still has those pants!
Can't wait to show Joe that picture. Funny thing is that Gary still looks just the same!
