Title: Shrinking world
Post by: Phil Smith on February 22, 2006, 11:06:42 PM
The family who built my house (circa 1888) took just on seven months to make the journey from England to New Zealand. That sailing ship also carried the fasted form of international communication, sea post. I've just sent some photos I took at my local flying field to Adrian, just down the road, who then sent them to this forum in the USA, where I am able to view them instantly from NZ. All this development took a little over a hundred years, my mind is boggled at  what the human mind is capable of....And STILL I can't get better than an average score for a square eight.........

Phil.

I'm pretty sure you're doing better on the square eights than the lot who built your house ;D
