OK, so everyone should have a least started building or rebuilding, something.
So like the subject says SHOW and Tell.
Here is what I am working on. It is a Cardinal from plans. I have the wing and the stab covered. I have the rudder and elevator ready to cover. And have just started cutting out the fuse. It has the weight box in the wing, adj lead outs, and I will put on a trim tab just in case. Carbon fiber push rod as well. Power will be LA .46 on a clunk tank.
Now show us what you have in the shop.

Well, I'm awaiting some vinyl masks to shoot lettering on the refinished Cobra that will make the trip to VSC. My new PA plane, Dramatic Effect, is awaiting the start of finishing and I may start the finishing process tomorrow. I'm dithering over a new classic plane that will live with me here in the Northwest, or perhaps a new PA plane I have an idea on that is sitting on the drafting table. We'll see. Pics of the two in question have be posted here before so I won't take up hard drive space with more, but hopefully, stuff will start to move along soon.

This is a 576 sq/in Ringmaster, Dee Rice design. Going to be powered with a Saito 40a Golden Knight.. Fillets go on today then final sanding and finish starts. Going to cover the wings with Core House SLC covering then put silkspan on top of it, wood will get carbon veil with Brodak dope finish.

Finishing a Dreadnought - waiting for my paint guy
Building a B -25 72" span - for 2 Brodak 40s- pics tomorrow (my time)
Up next I think will be a 25 sized take apart semi scale ship - either P-47 or Spitfire - not sure which yet
-
About to start building a Pee Wee 020 powered Free Flight Sniffer and a Tee Dee 010 powered Queen Bee. (see pic)
Also have a Peacemaker to repair after a young up and coming Combat pilot cut both my lines during a slow combat bout and sent my Peacemaker straight to the hard deck.
Happy New Year! (051)

Gordan and I just recieved the Laser cut parts for his PathFinder LE, sometimes called the Last PathFinder. This a full bodied design, for a piped engine, or not. Gordy will be using a PA .40 Merlin, I'll be using a Stalker .51RE. The parts look pretty good. Weve found a few errors from my drafting, one small notch got moved out of place when I was shuffling the parts for the cutting files. I've fixed that already, as well as made sure that all the part numbers and center lines are etched on by the laser.
Today we'll be releasing all the parts from their sheets, and build the molding buck for the formed leading edges. We hope to have them finished for this up coming season.
I've posted the views of the plan before, but for those who haven't seen it, here they are again.

Not a stunter, but my latest Profile Carrier ship.

Paul:
Really nice looking Cardinal. It's a fun project. I know you will really enjoy her, I do mine. However, I have been on a continuous building project with my J.D. Falcon (Blue Sky's Kit), seems like forever. Started in the Spring. But I think I have it beginning to look somewhat like a plane. Still have a ways to go. Haven't decided on paint scheme, but covering will be silk and dope. Power is RoJett .40 RE.
Happy New Year!

This is a Mackey Lark, completed late last fall. I did get a few flights in with it and liked it a lot. It is powered by a Magnum 36, finish is Sig dope.

Monty...I hope to see it flying in Eddie next August. I would like to see somebody build a Lark with the open cockpit, y1 like the original. Probably not so good for your weather in Saskatoon, tho, so I understand. :##
I note the use of the Magnum muffler, instead of your custom unit...can we assume it needed nose weight? HB~> Steve
-
Hi Steve,
I was doing some experimenting with the muffler. One of the things I noticed with the setup I had was that the engine would go rich/burp for a moment on pullouts. The factory muffler has a smaller outlet than my home made unit and seems to eliminate the problem. The other thing I was thinking of trying would be to go back to my other muffler, but reduce the venturi size a bit.
Regards,

Would love to post what I am working on, but, I am posting with lap top as the main computor keeps disconnecting when I try to post on Stunt Hangar, no problems on any of the other sites. The wife claims its Sparky's site and I tell if so how can I post with other computors. Any ideas for a cure. HAPPY NEW YEAR, DOC Holliday

My Banshee is really missing her flying buddy T-38.
I started clearing off the workbench this weekend so I can get at cutting some wood.
I got the wing jig out.
Check out my new butcher block building bench. My neighbor was going to haul it to the dump. All I had to do was build some legs; it's straight and rock solid.

Phil,
re " Last look, 34 pickup"
I went through the same thing w/my 32 roadster, in Las Cruces,NM, in May,1966. Can still visualize it going away, down the street.
Never saw it again, even asked Larry Cunningham to be on the lookout for it. Will restore it if I ever find it.
It was registered as a Neumann Special, built by Bill Neumann, founder and current owner of "Neuspeed" equipment etc., former editor of Rod and Custom magazine and a friend for over 52 years.
:! If anyone has seen it, knows of its whereabouts, please let me know. H^^
Thanks,
Roger V.
