Friends, I would like to give a shout out and two thumbs up to Ty! You may remember that I was asking about a year ago if anyone had any really hard1/16 balsa they wanted to get rid of. Ty stepped up with a bunch and didn’t even charge me for shipping! Here are a few pics of what I use it for...I have a special process I developed for my custom guitar sides that use the balsa laminated in the composite sandwich. This makes incredibly stiff sides which greatly improves the quality of the sound and tone.
I have a long waitlist for my guitars and am always looking for more balsa, so if you happen to have some please let me know! Harder is better (the stuff too hard to use on planes works good for me!).
Thanks again Ty!

Friends, I just wanted to share a very special moment I had tonight...one of my guitars made it’s Grand Ole Opry debut! The gentleman playing it is Grammy Award winner John Berry.
I feel very blessed and honored!
Sorry, I can’t the pic small enough to post☹️

Motors,
Did you check your Nemesis to see if anything's missing...?

Ty = 1 GREAT GUY. A while back I was looking for some props for my Spitfire. So low and behold Ty sent me a box of props and refused to take any money for them and postage! He is one cool cat. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice work. Looks like a sitka spruce top and mahogany neck? The rosette is lovely too. I'd be afraid to gig it - it's too nice!
What does it weigh? How's the balance? Do you put a piezo or microphone in it? So many questions!
Wanna build me a 335 clone?

Thanks Chuck!
I forgot what kind of spruce the top on this one is made of. Yes the neck is mahogany. I build exclusively out of mesquite, so that is what all the darker wood on the guitar is. I have never weighed one of my guitars, but I would describe both the weight and balance to be very normal .

You guys do amazing work with those guitars. H^^

Glenn, luthier to luthier, absolutely breathtaking! Never thought of mesquite! I see the cf lining on the sides, nice touch. And to have a grand old opry star playing one of yours, that's as big a whooppee as anyone can get!
A HUGE congrats to you, and keep up the fantastic work. H^^
Blessings,
Will

Trying again to get a couple pics of John’s guitar posted. These were the most spectacular mesquite boards I have ever worked with!

Here is a video we took at the Opry last night. It was just taken with my phone so don’t expect great quality!

What a legacy to have, I still can't catch my breath. I question whether or not I would have the courage and humility to allow such an instrument out of my hands instead of displaying it in my home. Simply the best I have ever seen.
