My son gave me a gremlin bell for my Harley, and so far it has worked. I think I will get one for my shop. The thing is, they are not supposed to work unless given to you by someone else. At least that is the way the story goes. My problem is when I am working on a part and lay it down to find the knife, but after finding the knife I cannot find the part I was just working on. This slows down my building at a height rate of speed. I finally decide to make another part and when it is just completed I find the first part and have to decide which one is better. This takes considerable amount of time while drinking another cup of coffee. But, then after drinking the coffee I have to go to the bathroom and when I come back I cannot find either part or my knife. And you wonder why it takes me so long to build a plane.
I also have gremlins in my basement shop where my wife picked out this great multicolored carpet that when anything leaves my work table it becomes invisible. There must be at least a 100 #2 washers down there, 5 or 6 glow plugs, and maybe 20 glow plug washers among four stroke valve keepers and a myriad of other stuff that I keep buying new. I would be a rich man if it weren't for that carpet. At least that is the excuse I give my wife for not buying her a new car.
