I found 36 Master Air Screw fuel filters in Australia. The price was right and the Aud postage was $11.60 USA. They were shipped the next day air with a tracking number. It has been almost three weeks and they are still not here. It is no big deal but I was hoping to give most of them away at an event here in Portland. The US Postal system takes a lot of heat but it gets the job done on time almost always. What is it about the Pacific that slows down time? Both ways.
And it does not matter which way they are put in the fuel hose. It is a screen filter. The trash goes to the screen. It does not hang out in the small reservoir. The only time I had trouble was when My "helper" turned it around when I went to get the glow driver. All the trash that was in it went right to the needle valve. I got a new helper.

Hi, Australia is in lockdown but we can go to the shops, food, doctors, pharmacy, post office etc. It is starting to relax now, allowed to travel further with more people, more shops open talking about restaurants and bars in June.
I wouldn't worry too much about the delivery other than it is on a slow boat via China!
I am still waiting for a Brodak delivery sent on the 15th of March. According to USPS it went through Chicago international on the 20th nothing since then! Annoying they won't respond to my enquiries.
Australia Post is notorious for, "Turning Off", their tracking so they don't look bad. I had a parcel go missing for 9 days tracked at my local distribution centre, in Brisbane, 10 miles away. Tracking said out for delivery, then 9 days later it turned up in Darwin, 2,133 miles away! Go figure! No tracking info until it turned up at home 10 days later. Hmm how could that be, no tracking???!!! They admitted, in the end, they turned it off and it was a monumental stuff up.
I know it doesn't help you. Your tracking number should work on the USPS tracking site when it hits US soil. Until then AustPost Tracking.

I've not heard of HTDirect, but then again I'm on the west coast, and they're on the east coast.
With that said, we ship regularly to the states and the usual time is about 3 weeks to a major city, but I would add a few more onto that, given the current situation.

I ordered a few brian eather props a little over a month ago. Last I saw on the tracking was they were accepted at a processing facility in Sydney on the 2nd of April and that has been it. I figured it’s been slow going given the circumstances of the pandemic around the world so I’m not too worried about how long it has been before the props reach the states

3 wks shipping aus/usa was normal before all the shut downs. I'm been seeing longer shipping times even inside the usa lately...and tracking info way off to non existant.

The USPS is also "editing" tracking info after the fact. I had a small package go from Reno, NV to San Francisco, CA to Los Angeles, CA to Memphis, TN to Chicago, IL to Monee, IL. it took over a week. The final tracking did not show the Memphis, TN leg. I only caught it because I was checking daily from day 4 onwards. It seems that illogical routings and long delays in some places are "edited out" in the final tracking after the delivery.

I think some people are playing games as I have never had more than a week for shipments from Australia. Now Great Briton is another story. I got my filters off the bay from a vendor here in the states. The screen in the filter goes towards the engine. RSM used to have them but he don't list them any more. H^^

To those doing the,"Right Thing" and waiting patiently because of Covid 19, DON'T!!!
3 email inquiries to USPS after 11 days of no tracking activity. No response from USPS customer service, but after the 15th day a new tracking update, "Passed through Chicago International on the way to final destination".
Give them a, "Prod" and they find your package and move it on. This particularly applies to people waiting for deliveries from Australia via Australia Post!!
I have had so many poor dealings with Australia Post too many to mention. Do not wait put in an inquiry.

If it helps at all, I received an email from Australia Post recently which includes the following:
“ For those sending or waiting on international parcels, please be aware that there are significant delays to many destinations due to limited flights and government restrictions. Impacts to the United States of America, New Zealand, Germany and France are significant with severe delays being experienced. Where airline capacity does become available, we continue to prioritise Express Parcels. A number of destinations also have full service suspensions where we are unable to move parcels due to airport closures or major delivery issues. ”
It’s not fashionable to praise the postal services, but I’ve actually been pretty happy with Australia Post. I had to sell and mail out over 1200 engines from a deceased estate to all over the world, and not a single item went astray (much to my amazement). Parcels to the UK would often arrive within 7 days, but for some reason it was usually more than double that to the US. Not sure why - perhaps the difference is down to the postal services at the receiving end.

Steve, great service and exactly what you would hope for from a delivery company. Alas, from personal experience I can quote 10 poor actions for every good one from Australia Post.
The thing that really gets up my beak is they flat out lie, turn off the tracking function or are deliberately evasive about what is happening rather than being honest and say they, or the system, stuffed up!
Walt, love the sit and be surprised idea. Trouble is I am waiting on parts to finish a project. Waiting, waiting, waiting.....

I ordered a ABC P&L about a month ago and it not going anywhere fast. I asked Brian Gardner about it and he said...
I just checked the tracking on it. Apparently it hasn't left the country yet. I called up and they tell me there is a huge backlog of parcels waiting to leave the country. Likewise for entering.

31 days and the filters have not left the country. I wonder how many mail bags are "Qed" up and waiting for a ride? It has to be getting worse every day. It is like you are dealing with a third world country. There has to be another answer than "there are not enough aircraft." Put some mail on a ship. That's what the US just did for some mail to Europe. A week ship travel is a lot better than no travel. It is not like I need these filters for my heart valve but some ones birth day is coming up and I would like to gift some of them.

Hello Sounds like the whole postal system around the world is in a bad state. Ordered some Sig Lancer kits and had them sent to my parents house less then 10 miles from the shop and it took over 3 weeks to get there by courier. As for overseas parcels, hoping to see my stuff before Christmas if its not lost . :-\

Package from USA to me in AUS last week took 7-8 days with FedEx. Full and accurate tracking all the way.
Most USPS parcels take under 10 days in my experience, but the FedEx one has been my only dealing with the USA since lockdown. Small parcel from China claims to be now in Australia as of April 10th, then tracking stops. Purchase from Thailand shows no tracking activity after Bangkok, April 22nd.
Sending from here to the USA (in normal times) has always taken around two weeks in my experience, never longer.

FedEx wasn't too bad. I didn't arrange it. Seller used them as standard. (Car parts). $12 USD for around a kg.

that is great. Every time I have compared Fed Ex to USPS International, Fed Ex is 2 to 3 times more expensive. I still say you can't beat Brodaks shipping prices to Australia. They must have a deal!
I tried to order in an Oriental. In the end the best price was $146US with USPS. Fed Ex $265.

I just got an email from Australia Post. They are closing my enquiry and marking it, "Resolved"! Why? Because they have accepted they lost it!!!
The last scan was at my local distribution facility. Can you believe it?

I’ve seen the same lately with US, Swiss, Finnish, Ukrainian and some other post offices, too.
Tracking does not work and everything takes several weeks longer.
Someone said that it’s because of the virus, they keep parcels in quarantine for some weeks before proceeding to lose them. L

With so few aircraft flying around the globe (A lot of cargo/mail goes on passenger flights.) and so much more "on-line" purchasing going on due to people sourcing items internationally and shop-front businesses being closed, I guess you can understand the delays.
Craig, did they actually admit to losing track of it? Don't give up on it yet. It still may show up. Both of the deliveries that I mentioned in my earler posts just arrived after 7-8 weeks even though the tracking still doesn't show any movement since April, stating "In Transit". No indication that they have both actually now been delivered.

No mate it is lost!I have the official email from Australia Post telling me to contact Brodaks who in turn have to contact USPS who will contact Australia Post for a refund.
Well I think that is what happens. Or a version of it at least.
What burns me is 2 weeks ago they had a piece on the news telling us how good the new computer operated sorting facility at Redlands was. 2 guesses where they lost it!!! But you will only need 1..
