Sheldon's Hobby Shop was a virtual landmark in San Jose, CA. The original store on Alum Rock Ave. was founded by Mr. Sheldon, Sr., around 1952...(possibly before)
Mr. Sheldon was an avid C/L flier, also Free Flight. His store was second-to-none in California.
His son Ron took up the banner in '57 or so, "graduating" to R/C around '65...Ron Sheldon was famous in Pylon Racing.
After the sale of the store last year, Sheldon's shared space with "R/C Country" (?) in Cambrian Park, but is now under the guidance of the purchaser's son, with a brand new address and building, with Control Line on the menu!

Store hours are 7 days a week!!! Mon-Sat, 10:00-7:00; Sun., 10:30-7:00!
