After things wrapped up in Detroit we got out Sam's Streak and put a few flights on it. This is Sam's 3rd time on it. He was nice enough to let his friend Luke try his hand at it. It was Luke's 1st time. Both boys enjoyed it. We will have some miles on this thing before its done Robert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BNvV1vEhcw

Thought that was Sam over on the other post. Once those young lads get the hang of what the handle is for, watch out. You will be busy keeping them flying. The old men better start worrying now about having to compete with them one of these days. Another great video.

Mike, very cool! I doubt Sam or Luke will ever forget these days!! The boys did a super job and they couldn't have done it without a great coach!

Great Job!
Tell us about the power plant in that airplane. It sounds like it is a small engine turning high rpms.
Thanks,
Frank

Frank, Its an OS LA .15 with a 7 x 4 prop. We usually fly it a little slower when we can take off a paved surface. Since we were flying off grass and hand launching I had to send it up a little hotter. Our first attempt with a slower needle resulted in a failed launch so I sped it up. Mike

The Streak Trainer my granddaughter learned to fly on was powered with a Fox .15 Schnuerle using a Master Airscrew 8-4 prop. Was just the right speed for her to react.
