First snow if 2019

Yes it is the first snow of 2019 and have not seen this much the last few years.  Wife was watching the Chiefs and KU play when every thing went dark.    Last night finally got power back on at 1600 hours in time for the KU game.  Have to bite my tongue once in a while watching as I wonder about the coaching strategy.    any way fore the lights out I scooped the driveway and porch several times.   Sunday morn no Church and I scooped drive way to keep warm.    Did get a couple of battery lanterns for light.   Glad we also have gas range and kept temps in house above freezing.   Myself and the dogs sat in the shop for a bit of time where the gas burner was working.   Thankful good LORD didn't make it worse like quite a few years ago when we with out power for a week.   Also this time leaves are gone so the trees didn't come falling down.   was going to post pics but power went out before I got to them.  Any the story is a main transformer went caput.    


The picks were taken early Saturday and it snowed until Sunday afternoon.
