Title: Setting Problems
Post by: Garf on June 10, 2007, 04:37:14 PM
As the temps near 90 and the humidity rises, I am having trouble getting good needle settings. What changes do I need to make to help with this problem? I am running Johnson and Super Tigre 35's. I think I need to adjust nitro and oil levels. Any ideas?

Hmmm. We need a chemical engineer in on this one.

Need to cool the fuel and have it burn colder in the engine. At 90 degrees the fuel is already trying to vaporize at a accellerated rate. Put  the fuel in a cooler with ICE and keep the tank covered with a towel out of the direct sun may help.

Any Ideas anyone?

Hmmmm. I wonder if anyone tried keeping thier fuel on Ice before.

I set up a marathon engine running session today to test various things. Seems the plugs that ran fine under other conditions wouldn't work under these conditions. I also had a compression leak in the Johnson SS. A few new Thunderbolt plugs helped. Now to see how they fly. I need to order some more.
