« on: October 05, 2017, 12:49:26 PM »
There use to be a CL Forum in Great Britain and for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it.  Anybody know what it is?

Thank you
Mike

      Hello All:

How does one register to become a member? I have tried for years, and when I attempt to register, I get a message that my information is not correct.  Any suggestions?

I have been a user/member of the Barton site for a few years.  All I know is to read and follow instructions when trying to register, just like this forum.   They too are picky about picture size when posting.

     Hi George:

Thanks for the help! I have been wanting to get on this site for a long time as Diesel lovers abide there. Lol

I finally managed to register but it was truly an ordeal.  When first I tried I apparently got the Barton club and tried to register there but when faced with a 40 lb(british) I decided I must be in the wrong place as I did not want to join the Club.

After another try I found the right place but the questionnaire was rather complicated and it still took several tries to get the questions right.  No I assure you I've never been considered STUPID, but I was beginning to rethink that!

Finally with answers that were no different than many before it worked.  Even then I had to wait for an e-mail to then confirm my existence and finally after clicking the adress in that e-mail I got to go and log in!  Whew...these guys are careful...Maybe a bit of "Overkill".

Looks like a nice forum though.  I haven't had any time to attempt to look up old friends from early days in England that were fliers while in Malta.  Will try later.

I had the same experience that Randy had trying to register.  I think they do that on purpose for some unknown reason.

I have been on the Barton site long enough that I've witnessed/seen why the administrator makes it difficult to get in.  Just once I would love to see these hackers get caught and have their ability to screw up forums and other sites completely removed.  A lot of info on there and I still like the odd designs for racing.
