. . . and a little prettier than they used to be. (Well, the guy is a combat guy, so what those guys think is pretty is hard to say.) I think it means it has colored Monokote on it.
A public apology – Howard, the “combat guy” is correct! The new U-Key is indeed done up in a very nice film / paint finish! Howard showed even more of his “taste” by adding some
very well done black trim.

http://stunthanger.com/smf/index.php?topic=11945.0As you can see from the pic, Howard, always the combat guy, has the syringe poised at the ready, and a bewildered look, trying to figure out where the heck they hid the pen bladder.
Kudos to Mr. Pearson, nice upgrade. Especially nice to go to the trouble of a painted (matching, and likely more durable) fuselage to the film covered flying surfaces – only ARF to do so, as far as I know. The ply fuselage reinforcements are also more substantial than the original U-Key. The hinges are true
pin style hinges.
This is really a first-class airplane from what I saw. It will surprise the heck out of those accustomed to previous U-Keys. Also, unless something has changed, this is the only ARF made entirely in the US.
