Title: Scarf Stang finished, First flights

It's all finished and if the weather permits I'll fly it tomarrow (knock on wood).

The wing is a Tutor II ARF wing recovered in silkspan 4" BC the rest was built from A. Brickhaus plans for his foam wing Mustang profile. Brodak dope and is powered by an Aero Mag GP 40. Total weight is 49 oz.

Hi leester, nice plane!  Is that some type of access hatch you have fabricated for the bellcrank?

Hi David: Yes that is an access hatch to the B/C. The Tutor II wing comes with that already there, very handy. There is also a hole in the bottum of the wing so you can fit a screw driver in too.

Thanks guys: I flew it for the first time today and Bill Little the one sure way to get over the building FUNKS is to have flown this plane. I was soooo HAPPY with the engine runs and the way the plane handled I could hardly believe it. I'm not a very experienced flyer so I did a lot of level flying and then loops which were so effortless I didn't want to stop. I was astounded at how sharp it turns, I really had to open up the loops. I'm possitive this plane will really help my flying learning curve, can't wait till next time out. The MAS 11-5 seemed to me to be just right and though I short tanked it with 3 1/2 oz of fuel it seemed like it ran forever. Love this plane.
