Santa came early
« on: September 26, 2006, 12:37:19 AM »
  G'day all,
Santa came early this year. With a bit of hinting and prompting ("wink, wink"!) my darling wife and daughters got me a Brodak Nobler kit for fathers day from SS hobbies (totally shameless plug).  ;D
Apon opening the box I was really happy with what I saw, nice light wood with hardly any mineral staining and a super detailed building instruction book with photos of all steps.
As a seasoned scratch builder it isn't really required but a nice touch, none the less.  ;)

It's really a pain in the behind not having regular access to a digital camera as I would like to post pics of my projects in return for being able to check out all of yours. It will happen soon.

Pretty sure the Nobler will be scoring a .35 of sorts. I picked up a mint OS.35 Max S at a swap last year that needs a home, or it may get one of my old Merco .35 red heads. I guess I'll just have to flip a coin! Either way the intention is to do a really traditional looking finish, as I think I'm becoming stuck in a time warp with a real fetish for "classic" models.  **)

If any one on board has built the Brodak Nobler I would love to see some pics or hear your thoughts on the kit.
  Thanks again, Rob.
