Title: sanding blocks
Post by: Bootlegger on August 27, 2011, 10:14:10 AM
Some time back 3M made a plastic (yellow) sanding block in upper and lower pieces, that you would attach the paper to the lower plate and snap the upper plate on it.
Any body know where I might find a few?
  Tried 3M to no avail...

HI Gil,

I still have one in great shape but haven't seen them for sale in about 20 years.....

I have gone to the black heavy rubber ones and making sanding blocks from hardwood, foam, dowels, etc..

Ditto for me. I make my own, and use the black hard rubber type. Haven't seen the two piece yellow in a looong time.
