Title: San Diego gang gets together
Post by: Keith Miller on August 01, 2014, 06:36:16 PM
Our group seems to be growing!  We've got at least a dozen regular flyers who meet off and on during the week.  These snaps are from today's bi-weekly gathering in Santee.  The city does a spectacular job keeping up the park!

Today we had Dave Sabon, Bob Brooks, Stewart Mossman, Charles Carter, Dirk, Fred Miller, myself, Karl and Preston.
We had a good mix of precision aerobatics, stunt, sport, combat, nitro, electric.... All in all a good day!

Mighty fine. I really love seeing this type of report.
Good looking planes for sure.
Seems that I keep seeing these TF Tutors. They look very nice especially for an ARF.

Good stuff Keith.

Too bad you guys have all that crappy weather to fly in all year round.

I'm kidding.   H^^

That is great you have some people to fly with.   I know at least one of them from past VSC.

A great report and good time.
It's especially good to see a photo of Dave Sabon being active.  Dave used to regularly come to fly with us here in Tucson, and had become truly championship material in his building and flying ability.  He seemed to drop of the earth for a while and it's good to see him actively flying again.  That Shark in the picture looks familiar...does it still have that raging PA61 for power?

Several of us here in the Tucson area had Him pegged for a future National Champion!
