Hi all. I have sad news tonight, my brother Dennis has lost his beautifull young (22) daughter Emily. She passed in her sleep last night. Dennis and his wonderfull wife Debbi have their family with them and are trying to find a way to move forward. Please think of them in your prayers tonight. He asked me to tell you his "other" family because he has alway found strength in your friendship. Thanks DaveA

Dave,

To say the least this is shocking news. Dennis & I have have had fun on the forums, and have talked on the phone many times. I consider, Big Art, Dennis, Arch, Marie, & the Whole Adamisin clad as part of my family. We have known each other for a long time.

Our prayers will be there for the entire Adamisin family.

I am so sorry to learn that another member of this family has had to know the saddest of times to live through. We lost our son just over a year ago and my wife and I have been most grateful for the messages of sympathy voiced here. Now I send you our sincere sympathies to the entire Adamisin Family. You all will be in our prayers. Peace will find you but it will take a lot of time.

As a parent that recently lost an adult child, I understand the grief and pain that the entire Adamisin family is experiencing.

Right now it seems that there won't ever again be peace or joy, but others who have had the same tragedy in their lives assure us that it does, eventually, get better.  I pray that will be true for the Adamisin family, Phil's family and my own.

Trusting in Him,

To Dennis and your whole family,

I am sorry to hear this sad news and I pray that God will send his strength and comfort to support you through the coming days, months and years. I pray that as the pain of losing your precious girl slowly dulls, that your love for her will shine brighter and brighter every day and it is that love which will fill all your hearts.

Shareen and I both shed a tear this morning.

When families have known and cared about each other for as many years as the Adamisins and the Fanchers the shared pain seems even greater.

I know we don't have to tell you this, but hold your family even tighter. They are the finest thing we share with the world.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Adamisin family as well as the greater modeling family that embraces and suffers their loss with them.

Just a quick word of thanks for all your prayers and caring words.  We have received dozens of measures of support from people trying to give us comfort, of course true "comfort" is not really possible.  However the caring is helping to sustain us.  I have been asking God to forgive Emily of her sins, and to take her home.  I also asked Him to help Debbie and I to somehow understand her death.  I hope in time that we will be able to comprehend it.

Emily's obituary is linked here:

http://www.legacy.com/fortwayne/DeathNotices.asp?Page=Lifestory&PersonId=124411453

Emily loved Hawaii, and dreamed of someday having her wedding on Sunset Beach.  In the Hawaiian song "ALoha Oe" are these bittersweet verses:

Sweet memories come back to me
Bringing fresh remembrances
Of the past
Dearest one, yes, you are mine own
From you, true love shall never depart

Farewell to you, farewell to you
The charming one who dwells in the shaded bowers
One fond embrace,
'Ere I depart
Until we meet again

Dennis,
Cherie and I are so sorry to hear about your loss. We just buried Cherie's mother on Wednesday, and it seems the sadness just continues to roll on. Your daughter was so beautiful; I guess the Lord had another plan for her.Now she walks with Him. We feel your pain, and know that time will hopefully heal the wounds you are enduring, eventually. God bless you and Debbie and the rest of your family through these times.

Dennis and Debbie,

I am devastated to hear your sad news.  My wife and I lost a daughter in 1992, she was 16.  Loosing ones child is an unnatural act.  Something no parent should have to go through.  But it happens, for some reason that we cannot understand, in God's plan.

All I can say is, stay close and lean on your loving family.  It may not seem possible right now, but someday the sun will shine again in your lives and you will be able to smile again.

You are in our thoughts and prayers,
Mike and Doris Gretz

Dennis; My heart goes out to you and your family. This is such a hard thing to go through. My wife and I have lost a son and three grand children in the last few years. There are so many things that go through your mind and heart at times like this. One thing that helped us was to "trust in the Lord with all you heart, and lean not to your own understanding". Also hug your wife alot, and stay close as a family. We will be praying for you all.
