« on: February 17, 2011, 05:04:41 AM »
n~   Guy's what size venturi do I need in  S T 60 with it being a "true venturi", in other word's NOT going thru the venturi, but behind it?    :!

         Thanks a lot

Oh, how do I set up a "sprinkler" venturi?  I'll need to know what parts and where to get them.. y1

   Thanks again,

Hi, Gil, I've used true venturis from Randy Smith, Eric Rule, Byron Barker, and I think others...I like about .180 on my ST 60's, then
fine tune with filters.  Funny, as long as I've been flying ST 60's, I still can't see a difference between the true venturis and the
standard restrictors.  I do like Randy's NVA's, they seem to eliminate the problem of small air leaks at the NVA.

hi Gill
Hope things are settling down after the recent double.

I am close to machining ventures for a S.T. blue head .60 for use in the FW project.
Best I can tell this is same venture as for the S.T. V .60( small case) and will make a few for this engine also.

The plan is to make them annular(sprinkler?) discharge using the G21. 35 as pattern enlarged to fit the .60

The reason for wanting this is mainly for the FW where I screwed up the tank location and need the spray bar as
close to the crank C/L as possible.

This work is probably a month or so away so like I think I mentioned you are welcome to come use the machines
here to make what you need.( not hard to do)

And I do wish you would let me send you 10 or so sheets of this silk span to try.

If you do come bring something to fly. The field is ready( If the rain treats it good!)
