Saw this on facebook this morning. Sharing with non FB folks. This is from Ruslan. He is alive and well:


Hello my friends from USA, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, France, Poland, England, Switzerland, Canada, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel and other countries.  I am very grateful to you for your support, for your kind, sincere words of support for our people, for Ukrainians.  We will defeat Putin because now we are all together.  Now we are invincible.  Personally, I and my family are now in Kyiv.  We, volunteers, have been defending our city, our Podolsky district, our street, our house, our people, our wives, our children, our families for 4 days.  We, men who know how to hold weapons in their hands, were supplied by the mayor of Kyiv with automatic weapons and cartridges.  My family is in a bomb shelter.  In Kyiv, air raid alerts sound constantly, almost every 2 hours.  Russian cruise missiles fly over the city and Russian paratroopers land from helicopters. My task is to prevent the penetration of sabotage groups operating in Kyiv into crowded places, and to control enemy paratroopers in the sky of Kyiv above our houses.  I thank you personally for supporting Ukraine, for supporting peace on earth.  Sincerely,

We all need to help out. My grandparents came to Canada from the Ukraine. I have no ties there anymore but with a name like mine I feel I need to help. For Canadians or anyone else you can donate by going to the Canadian Government web site, go down to How You Can Help, which will send you to the Red Cross. The government will match your donation.

Thank you, Paul, for posting this. If I knew how to get some ammunition to Ruslan, I would send him some. I don't have any  in stock that would likely work in their rifles, but would be happy to buy some that would.  f~ Steve
