I HOPE THIS IS JUST A RUMOR AND JUST BAD INFO PRESS!!! VD~ S?PNot to alarm anyone...but on my Gone with the Wind Kites forum website.... www.gwtwforum.com/index.php?topic=2372.0
where they have a discussion about the really alarming news that WEBSHOTS...(Webshits') that I have been using for the past few years...
now is infecting many of its Window XP customers?

I wonder if I can retrieve all my photos onto (say my WD external hard drive without damage?)

   I hope you haven't picked up a virus! I don't know anything about webshots, but this is one of the many reasons i am using a linux based operating system. Less problems with pesky viruses.

Some of the webshot sites do contain trojan horses; not sure exactly what they are or what they do. I did read some of the comment about sites and most people complained of excessive ads and blank pages.

I just googled "webshot virus" and it returned loads of stuff.

I heard from a neighbor down the street who is works with MicroSoft... that if you want to feel reeeeeeeeeeeally UNCOMFORTABLE!!!
Go and "GOOGLE UP" "WEBSHOTS VIRUS" and just GOOGLEE-OOGOOGLEE' the amount of "hits ya gits'  S?P :X

Yet another reason I'm glad I use Linux. Not a panacea and I certainly have occasional problems, but it's a far cry for the deluge Windows users get.
