« on: February 01, 2007, 04:59:59 PM »
I saw a Tempest for the first time today on Sam's Stuff. Does anyone have any experience with this kit/plane or pictures of theirs they can post?
Thanks, Terry B.

I am 99% sure that Jeff Welliver has built a couple of them with one of them powered by a Brodak 40.

Jeff is a Stunt Hangar member you could email him for info. This kit is considered an expert level kit.

My buddy Nils Norling is building one now. Sure looks slick, but does take some woodworking skills to complete. thats a curvy, sexy fuselage.

Nils' Tempest will be ST G.21 .46 powered, from what I hear. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Nils said that he's just starting to paint the cockpit area, and is really enjoying building the plane. No Monokote on this'n!  LL~ Steve

Terry,
I've got a super tempest that was designed in the late 80's by            Rodger Barret. I also have the original full size mylar.Rodger used a
OS MAX .46VF reworked by Leon Demosky (great engine run)plenty
of power and good fuel milage. I have three or four of them myself.
Anyway, the super tempest is a very competitive for precision stunt.
