Has anyone built and flown the RSM P-40 built up fus kit? I have been considering building that model for a couple of years and May order it after this post get some replys. Do you have any pics?
Thanks, Terry

Terry,
I've never flown the kit, but I have flown Pat's original that the kit was created from. It's a sweet flying plane. Flies about the same as his bigger .60 sized unit (I flew that one too with a Saito in it). Same wing as the profile kit but has lower, more scale location and dihedral. Very nice plane.

I recall watching/judging Patrick flying the small P-40K (OS .46LA). It flew really well...with an excellent corner. You'll be very happy with it, if you take the time to get it trimmed out. I wish I liked P-40's better! y1 Steve

Do like Willis Swindell and do a kit bash to the outline you like. H^^

Hi Terry,
See here http://stunthanger.com/smf/index.php?topic=15261.0
I built 03 RSM P-40 and this plane is a very good flyer (with nose heavy)! All planes flow with the Super Tigre 51 and about 1.380g of final weigth. For the Super Tigre 51 I done new fuselage front lite-ply formers (larger) and resize all balsa formers at the rest ( more thin).
Hope this help.

Here is Keith Sandberg's version. Saito .56 powered.

Hi Wayne,
That is a nice looking P-40, I'll bet it sounds great with the 4S in it. :)
Iv'e seen that cool looking D-18 before, but I don't know who's it is. I really enjoyed flying that plane, the XW TOs and landings were often exciting. ;-) Do you have an email address for the owner that you can PM to me? TIA.

Hope to build one of these P-40 soon.
Makes a nice looking airplane.
After the FW 190A-5(next)
WWII War birds and 30s Racers are a good thing. #^

I think the D-18 belongs to Keith Sandburg also. H^^

You are correct Doc, the D-18 is also Keith's, Sandberg with an E. y1

Thanks for the correction. Never was good at people names. Took me years to remember Alan B's last name and then I kept misspelling it. H^^
