Finally finished the build. My first full solo build. Not the best covering and painting job but my building has improved.

Good Job Andy! It looks great.
If it flies well and makes you smile that's all that really matters anyway.

Well that's what it's all about, satisfying yourself and recognizing the improvement. That's why I always encourage guys to try and hang onto their first couple of models to help them see their progress. You are right where we all were at one time or another and us older guys didn't have the internet! Kind of neat to try stuff and see how better it works and how much better the outcome is, isn't it??!!! Keep it up and keep at it. If you pay attention to the small details, the big ones kind of take care of themselves.
Type at you later,

Looks good!
With a little practice your finishing skills will improve dramaticly. I challenged myself to improve my finishing skills over the last year. I view each model as practice for the next one. My finishes are by no means expert level but I've gotten to a point I'm really proud of them.
Keep at it!

That looks a lot better than some of mine. Like Dan says we all had to learn, but back then we didn't have Stunt Hangar to help us. Almost all was learned by trial and error. If we didn't make errors we weren't trying hard enough. I like your paint scheme and color choice.

Well more pictures were taken. And as requested closer pics this rime. It had its maiden flight this past Sunday at my clubs pic nic and it flyes well. The only adjustment needed was raising the RPMs on the second flight. Surprisingly it flies well with .18x57' lines. didnt have any lines that are .15 with me so i used what i had and it worked great. My first successful build AND IT FLIES!!!!!! Im using an O.S. Max FP .25 That was in Byrons stuff that was originally reworked by PSJ Customs. with a Supre tigre NVA and a tank built by Eric Rule of RSM Distribution. Need to go back and clean up the monokote on the wing a little.

Hey, that's better. We can actually see it now. Very nice model! Clean!
But it's still a Ringmaster, right? I mean, couldn't you have.......... Naw!! I won't go there. LL~

Clint, i know what you mean. But it is a fun plane to fly especially in the world wide ringmaster fly a thon. My first plane was a ringmaster. ITS still a fun plane to fly and will be great to use to fly with my nephew and niece.

I've been at this a long time, and I just hate to be without a Ringmaster to fly even just for fun if there was no OTS event. Just seems natural!
Andrew, it just gets better from here on out. You'll have a stumbling block or two along the way, but your path is set. Take what you learned from this one, and it's on to the next. But no sense in rushing things. Patience is something no one is born with, you have to learn it, and it comes hand in hand with experience. And it all breeds confidense! Confidense is what you need to really improve when flying the pattern. Build a nice, straight model with no problems built in, and it's easier to trim. If the airplane behaves well right off the bat, then it's easier to focus on any power plant issues you may have to deal with, electric or wet power. As you move up the skill levels, all of this gets refined and you look at things in finer detail. By then, you'll have learned a trick or two, built up some substantial experience, and that will help you work through the smaller more complex problems.
Keep it up!

Andrew, the plane looks even better in the later pictures. Now you need to start another one for back up. Things will happen as you go along. I am in the process of finishing up my RSM Ringmaster. Also remember some guys just don't get it as to me the Ringmaster was the most beautiful profile at that time in my life. Will have to get a picture of my fleet when I get this one done.
