Congradulations to Phil from the old DOC also.  Picked up his latest offering and roll of SLC from him while at the NATS.  The thought just hit me remembering when people would fly stunt and combat at same contest, but, I guess keeping the timing down is too hard to do now a days.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Thanks guys, but make that "flyer", not any particular variety.  I like to fly most anything.  Combat did not have a big turnout, but it still took 5 matches to win.  The first one I spent re-learning just how fast these things are in a  match, pumping up my reflexes, and checking out the ground.  Then four straight wins, with three kills.  No midairs, and only one in the whole event.  Good, sportsmanship all around and some very hard-fought matches.  I had a blast.  These things are fun to the Nth degree.  Too bad it takes so long to learn how to do it and it takes quite a bit of physical strength.

Yes and as always Phil is most modest in his remarks...! This is Phil's Fourth Time at winning the USA Nationals! His buddy for the week, Dan Reedy took 3 Second Placesin the Nationals this year: Speed Limit, 1/2A, and F2D! Not too shabby for a young lad of 30 something! Incidentally both Combat Heros are also members of the Harrisburg Aero Modeling Society...a/k/a the HAMS! Phil Spillman, charter HAM member!
