My friend and I both have RoJett 65 bar stock RE Stunt engines
Can anyone tell me the correct bearing sizes for this engine please, my friend has had a major rear bearing failure (corrosion the likely cause) and we are both now considering running full ceramic rear bearings to eliminate any possible further issues along with hybrid ceramic front bearings.
Before anyone suggests sending an email to Jett I have now tried 3 different email address shown on their web pages, everyone of them have bounced.
If anyone has the current email address it would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks

Measure the bearing sizes and look up Boca Bearings on the web. You can match the bearings on there site.

Rear is 17mm ID, 30mm OD, a bit less than 7mm thick. Front is 10mm ID, 22mm OD, 6mm thick.
RO-Jetts have been known to have loose machining tolerances. I have one that destroyed three (as I remember) sets of bearings before I noticed that the crankshaft was too short, pinching the bearings. I put a shim behind the front bearing, and all was subsequently well. I don't remember the shim thickness. I think it was .005" or .010". If the bottom end of your engine has not been free of friction from when you first ran it, I suggest you investigate the shaft length.

Please measure your bearing. Howard has the new bearings in his engine. The first run of engines had a much smaller rear bearing(saving weight?!) and the new larger bearing will not fit. Not sure of the email problem with Jett and I will look into it. Mine is richard@rojett.net , Please note the .net as .com will not work for me. The email Dubb uses to email me is <jettengr@sbcglobal.net>. Please try this one. Measure your bearing before trusting Howard's numbers on your engine. They are good numbers they just may not be your engine.
As always you can also call me: 281-744-9358 or

Many thanks for your replies gentlemen.
I'm pretty sure the engine my friend has may be an early one as I originally bought it from Brian Gardener along with the model when Brian gave up flying PA, I then sold the plane an engine to my friend b1.
I had then traded into another RoJett 65 for the other airframe I'd acquired from Brian.
I will send Richard and email and see if we can sort out the problems.
Thanks again
John
