Title: ROGER WILDMANS NEW BIRD (pics)
Post by: Allen Goff on December 30, 2006, 03:35:41 PM
Went down and paid a visit to Roger Wildmans workshop. Took some pictures of his new Davis Special. A typical Roger gem. Wish I could finish like him. Here are two pics, hope they come through ok.

Blessings
Allen

It's good to see Roger's health issues have not stopped his creativity. Great looking plane Roger.

Is the brass tubing on the nose the fuel fill? If it is i love the idea of blending it in to the nose like that

Thanks, Allen!  It's great to see that Roger is finishing up the plane, his health must be returning nicely.  Give Roger our prayers.

The brass tubing is his uniflow line. The engine going in will be a PA 75RE on a header muffler. I'll pass on the sentiments, he does not have a computer.

Blessings

Beautiful bird, nice to see Roger back in the shop.  I am so glad our prayers have helped Roger.

Typical nicely finished plane by Roger, I just hope that it doesn't take him as long to trim it out as it usually has.
After as many of these as he has built it would be nice to have one pretty much fly off the board.
