Hey all, please keep Roger Wildman in your prayers. He is experiencing some difficulties and undergoing tests that appear to have some really bad news. We can't disclose anything definite yet, but will keep you informed as we learn. Hopefully the next update will be better than what we have been told at this point.
NO PHONE CALLS YET, PLEASE!
Thanks from FCM.

Any update Will?? Still praying.

I had the great honor of presenting the trophy for "Keeper of The Flame" to Roger, at VSC, after it was at my home for a year. Nobody deserved it more.
Floyd
-
Sorry Floyd, but your memory is slipping. You were presented the KOF for 2003 and the next winner was Marvin Denny for 2004. I have tallied the votes for the last 4 or 5 years and have a list of all those starting with De Hill and Jim Lee as the first two winners. Roger Wildman is not on the list. Roy D

Look below under "Upcoming Birthdays". That might explain my confusion about names and places.

No recent update on Roger's test results. As soon as I can learn something I'll post. It's hard for me to refrain from calling him!!!! (As I know it must be for many of us.)
I've emailed Allen Goff today to see if he's been down there.

Hi all;
D>K Talked with Roger today and #1 doctor shared the MRI with Roger and he has two cracked vertebra's. He is in a back brace and taking pain medication. He has a spot on one of the vertebra's and the doctor said he would out live it. (they could not operate on it anyways) That part is good news.
The other part, he has an appointment with #2 doctor next week for a complete physical and a *PSA ( i think) test.
#2 doctor informed Roger last week she thought he has bone cancer and prostrate cancer. I am questioning her diagnoses made with no test information to base it on. We'll know more next week. Pray.
Blessings
Allen
P.S. Roger does not have internet capabilities so I pass on your post to him. He told me to thank everyone for their prayers and friendship.
-
Tell Roger to take care as we are praying for the best for him.
-
I flew with Roger in the early days in Calif. He's one of the realy good guys and I'm praying for him.
Bart
-
Thanks Allen, the prayers continue.

I talked at length with Roger tonight and he's doing a lot better with his back. Still must wear a brace because of two cracked vertebrae but is pain free as long as he isn't mobile.
He goes in for testing tomorrow for the possibility of bone cancer, which, for now, doesn't seem like it exists. They just want to rule that out for sure. He'll also have a lung xray and PSA test and then go home.
For now, things really look positive that nothing major exists besides the cracked back.
He says to feel free to call, call, and call some more!!!!!!! I suspect the days get pretty long since he can't stand long enough to build the stunters he has in mind!
We're praising the Lord here, but still praying hard for complete freedom from cancer and complete healing!!!

That's great news. As do all that know him, I've nothing but very positive memories of my time spent in Roger's company. He's a class act who well deserves an encore.

My very best wishes to Roger for a speedy recovery! He was always very
nice to me and to repeat what a world famous guy said "Roger is always
a class act!" RJ

So are you and that "world famous guy," RJ.

Here's more hope and prayers for Roger's recovery. I have picked his picture out of many old magazines over the years, some going back far enough to when he was a C-130 driver or crewman? He and the flat top of his always stands out and he hasn't changed much over the years!
Get well Roger!!
