Ringmaster rebuild.

Here is a pic of my old ringmaster from the early 80's that I just finished rebuilding and covering. Working on a second one for a friend here that is wanting to try some cl flying. have it covered with silkspan, not sure that I will repaint it.

Hi Jim,

Looks like she will serve you well.  As for the other one, I would just get it good and fuel proof and not worry about color.  No telling how long it will last as a trainer for a newbie! ;D

Here is a pic of the second one. it is an estes ringmaster, sheeted leading edge on the wing. I was looking thru my junk pile and i have an sterling /golden state mustang that was started but is only about half way finished

Both planes look great.  As stated about the trainer, don't spend too much time on finish.   Even though I have soloed people on usually the second flight with a Ringmaster.

I going to make sure that it has an good coat of clear on everything and put the motoer and tank on and we will go from there. Don't know how long it will last. Been out in my shop messing with a golden state f-51 that i started 20 plus yrs ago. man that kit wasn't much. I have there yak 9 and it isn't a bad one and I have an old sterling f-51 that isn't die cut. it is die crushed.
I was 10 or 11 when I built my first sterling mustang and ringmaster. Man I though that I how big these were when looking at the  sterling .049 planes that I had been building at that time.
