« on: May 09, 2014, 01:47:55 PM »
Anyone have an opinion on witch os max 46 would a better choice for a ringmaster imperial I have a la-s .46 and a .46 fx converted to control line the ringmaster imperial has a 52 inch wing with flaps and built up fuselage and tail feathers  or is this too much engine for this aircraft?

I dunno about the FX, but the 46LA should work fine.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Any good running 35 or 40 will be just fine with 10-5 prop, maybe 10-4 if alittle to fast.

It might prove a bit too much.

Hi James,

One problem is that the room for a fuel tank is pretty small in the Imperial.

I'm using an Enya .29 at present, and probably gonna switch to the Enya .35 I got from Bill Little.[same size and mounting], it flies great, here's the maiden flight. P/S the little guy is my grandson who loves to trip the stooge:

I my self am finishing the first kit of the Ringmaster Imperial that Walter Umland produced.   It is shown with an LA .46 on the plans and that is what I am using.
