The Worldwide Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon is coming up on October 1st and 2nd. Does anyone here have any information concerning any type of coordinated activities in the Kansas/Missouri/Nebraska region to support this endeavor? What is going on in Topeka? A rumor is circulating of some sort of activity there. There can be no doubt that there are quite a few flyable Ringmasters of various types both in the Kanas City, MO/KS as well as Topeka, Wichita and Omaha areas. It would be a shame not to put some of these planes (many just hanging on the wall or lying around in an attic or garage) to work racking up some flights for the cause and contributing to the World Wide total. I have two Sterling S-1 full sized Ringmasters (one with a Fox .35 stunt and the other with a Fox .29 stunt, also a Baby Ringmaster with a Cox Golden Bee .049.) Just wondering what is in the works...............TDurrill D>K H^^

From the Sept 2011 Topeka Control Line Association newsletter...
There is an event going on across America to see how many flights can be flown with a Ringmaster
of one type or another on October 1st and 2nd. Come out to the circle on one or both of these day
and put in a flight or two. You do not have to fly your own plane; you can fly one belonging to
someone else. I will probably put a small tank on mine, so we can get more flights in.
I don't know any additional details about what is going on in Topeka, but that's what was in the newsletter. It might be wise to call someone in the club to coordinate something before making the trip.

Good advice and if you find out any additional information please post it here for others to see!!!
It is not just America!! In addition to the US and Canada, Australia, Brazil, Italy, South Africa and the UK are all going to fly Ringmasters for the event. New Zealand seems to be in the missing category so far.

Melvin Schuette and myself plan on making a two day affair of flying Ringmasters of all sorts both days. In fact I have just finished a little 1/2A Stunting Ringmaster to go with the S-1 and the Junior. The site is just SW of 21st and Urish. H^^

There is a paved circle and a grass circle with center pad. I keep crashing on the paved circle. Must the high gravity area ofthe field. H^^

Well after someone else built their little 1/2A Ringmaster, I looked over on the shelf last Friday and said why not. Did not get to work on it Sunday and finished the 6th coat of clear dope Tuesday. The covering is Monocote. Power is one of my Black Widow racing engines for Mouse I. Weight according to postal scales: 5 ounces even. May have to add tail weight or go to a Babe Bee(not). H^^
