KidVenture at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh
« on: July 26, 2025, 03:20:07 PM »
Yes, there was control line flying at for all ages at the KidVenture section of EAA's AirVenture 2025 Oshkosh.  Over 1000 flights were conducted during the week.  I am attaching a couple of photos.
PM me if you are interested in volunteering next year - you get free admission when you volunteer.

If you are interested in the electric plane that we were flying, more information will be posted soon at https://www.circlemasters.com/

It’s hard work but very rewarding seeing the smiles on kids faces young and old. I did it a few years. Chris and Dave designed some cool planes.

I have seen some reports from AMA on KidVenture. Did they stop by the circles?

And thanks for the photos Pete.

We had a lot of visitors this year.

Our District VP (VII) stayed and visited for more than an hour.  Also, the Goodyear blimp pilots stopped by.

One former F2d pilot from the Urkane came by and took his son to solo in 3 flights.

Kyle Jaracz, the education director, stopped over.

I see many modelers take pictures but don't stop to say hello.   Stop and say hi, please.

Better yet, volunteer.  The airplanes fly well, and electric makes it easy to pit and launch.
When we have enough help, it's a blast.

We will fly our planes on the demonstration circle if we have people to do so.

Electric makes better, more flights per hour, easier on the pit crew.  no planes we wrecked, only one motor died. We did not break a single prop.

I charged batteries 146 times over the 6 days (we rotated 17 batteries) we get 6-7 flights per battery.

I got to Wittman field about 11:30 Tuesday night, got settled in at our trailer in Audrey's Park, and came home today. Never got a chance to stop by the circle but Kudos to the KidVenture C/L crew, it was a very hot and sticky week out there.  y1
