The Ringmaster Fly-a-Ton 2020 is going to be held Oct 3rd & 4th 2020. NACA of Huntsville, AL plans to participate. Attached is the flyer. This is something that we can all do despite the Covid-19 mess. Time for some FUN!!!

We are looking forward to it in Vegas.

There will be about 6 of us meeting at the STARS field near Syracuse, NY. Hats and jackets will be in order but no snow shovels YET! Event marks the end of a great flying season.

You All should know that the Williamsburg Aero Modeling Society (WAMS) will be out in full swing on either one or both of those days or the alternates as the case may be!

Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon in South Carolina
We are inviting everyone who wants to participate to the Perry International Airport (SC95 on the Atlanta sectional) at 212 Airport Rd, Wagener, SC 29164, approximately 35 miles southwest of downtown Columbia.
We have room for three or four nice (grass) circles.
No mufflers required!
Don’t have a Ringmaster? Don’t worry – we have plenty!
Or, just bring anything you wish to fly.
Bring stuff you want to sell or give away.
You can bring your motor home, trailer, tent or sleeping bag.
You can arrive by air in your own private aircraft. We have a 5000 foot turf runway.
There is a clubhouse with picnic tables, running water and toilets, as well as a large fire pit.
If we have enough interest, we will do a low country boil on Saturday – shrimp, corn, potatoes and andouille sausage, all at a reasonable price.
Bring your own folding chairs and stuff to drink.
Need more info? Bob Zambelli, 267 218 2786, rzambelli@ftc-i.net
If we get enough attendance, this could become a yearly event.
Remember, this could be the only 2020 control line event in South Carolina.
Let’s try and set a record!

Just a reminder - If anyone plans to join us at the Wagener/Perry Fly-A-Thon, please let me know as soon as possible.
We need to have an approximate head count in so that we can order food.
Hope to see some of you there.
Long-range forecast looks good.

Which day will you be flying Samuel and I may be able to get down there. Thx

HI Mike, As in the past, some of us will be flying on both days. We will NOT be flying at our regular site. The school board has stopped ALL activity at Milton Frank until further notice. I guess the "educated" ones do not know that sun light (ultraviolet) fresh warm humid air kills all viruses. The flyer at the top has the lat and long for GPS. Hope to seed you there. H^^
Which day will you be there Ty? I can come either day. I'd like to pick up that jet. I'm not seeing coordinates on the flyer?

Huntersville group is flying Saturday
-
Hi Mike. Sorry, but it was in an email sent to the club by John. I'll have him send the co-ordinates. I just follow others there. LL~
I intend to be there both days, with the jet, which by the way is not complete. Still free. H^^
I believe we'll come on Saturday.

Heading out to the field shortly in Omaha Nebraska

Got up this morning early, made breakfast had packed last night and about to go out the door when flying Buddy called to say that the Park where we have permission to fly was full of a County Girls Volley Ball association had "Reserved" the field until noon! My guys then went hunting! My question is may we fly tomorrow and then again next Sunday since the Girls will be back every other Saturday in October?

What Ty said. We had 76 flights and 9 pilots. A great day!! We will do it again tomorrow.

I pieced together a little Fly-a-thon video from clips on my phone. It's only three and a half minutes, but I hope you enjoy it!

Showed video to grand daughter. Was cleaning the gear when she asked me what I was doing. Asked her she would fly if she had help. Got kind of a yes. I have a junior Ringmaster I think she would. Then I told her the bigger Ringmaster flies better and I would run the engine rich so it wouldn't fly so fast. She is 4 now, maybe by next year. D>K
Oh, I do have the flights sent to the link listed.
