Ringmaster Excel Kit
This design was inspired by the flying ability of my Ringmaster 576D Profile (2nd at Brodak’s in 2018 Profile Expert). The profile version has an incredible turn rate even with a far forward center of gravity. The wing really works.
The Ringmaster Excel is a full fuselage version of the 576D with a longer nose moment (9 inches) and tail moment (14 1/4 inches) to feel and fly more like a conventional proportioned stunter. The wing and tail are exactly the same as the 576D version. This is a flapped design. It is not a Ringmaster Imperial!
The kit comes with a fully sheeted foam wing, other parts are cut from contest grade balsa and plywood, aluminum landing gear, plastic canopy, and full size plans. You supply your favorite wheels and control system hardware. It is a quick, easy build. The engine may be mounted upright or inverted.
If you want the nostalgia of a Ringmaster, but in a fully contest capable mid-size (.40 to .54 engines) package, then the Ringmaster Excel is for you! Also available, is an extended profile version.
