Right - here comes that B25 (pics)
« on: January 30, 2008, 02:51:50 AM »
you guys that were bugging me about this thing - well here are some pics of where I am at - main focus over the last couple of months has been finishing the Dreadnought and trying to keep my wife cool ( she is pregnant, and it is around 26-28 Degrees C here daily)

anyway - I have the dreadnought out for clear - so the B25 was back on the bench tonight - I got some sheeting done - and have cut and laminated the wingtips so I can carve them later.

The last pic show the fuse at the stage it is at -

I have had a few changes to the structural desing of this due to increasing the span and adding 2 40s to the plane rather then the 19s on the original.  also am going to make the main wing removable for easier transport - it spans 72+ inches (with the tips on it)

was hard to get the whole wing in the pics -  but here you go.

BTW - yes my bench is always like this

Is this a stunter or a scale model Wynn?

Looks good Wynn.

I was looking for another picture you sent me some time ago. It showed your work bench and it was messed up a little more. If I find it I will post it. <=

This is a stunter - not scale so should be fun.

Paul, I used to have a messy bench - but not anymore - has been like the picture for a while now......

Will keep you all posted on progress

Now what or whose plans are these Wynn? It doesn't look like the wing has the "gull" bend built into it, does it? Also, where did you get the cowlings, and what diameter are they?

 Thanks! :)

Wayne - the plans are form MAN 1959 - not sure who the designer was - but I enlarged them to suit two 40s.

The drawings leave a lot to be desired - they showed the tank going through the LE and also the leadouts going through the tank.....a bit weird, added to that the ribs did not have the cutouts in the right place for the spars - so I ended up cutting 2 set of ribs - and marked the correct locations

edit: the cowls are from the Brodak catalogue - they are 4" diameter

Chris, AND Paul,   I have had a clean bech policy for a while - almost a year .....just makes life easier when you come back to do stuff....

and it is a stunt PRINCE  yep - hes a boy
