Title: Ribs
Post by: Garf on March 21, 2010, 03:50:12 PM
What happens when you find yourself in the workshop with a sharp knife, cardboard, and a rib salvaged from a BiSlob? A stack of cardboard ribs. Looks like the start of another project.

Wynn,

As you might know, I wrote the FM article on the BiSlob, and inked the drawings for Ron Pavloer. The original had a card board fuselage. In fact almost all of Ronnie's BiSlobs had a card board fuselage. The ribs were balsa. But there is no reason that cardboard ribs could not be used.

BTW... The "Hobo" is coming!

I have no intention of building a BiSlob. I don't have good luck with biplanes. I just like the airfoil.

That Bi-Slob airfoil looks very near to the NEMESIS airfoil.  What do you think?...........TDurrill   S?P
