Anyone know how to remove plastic hinges thaty have ben CA'd in, I can probably put new ones in next to the old ones however I would like to get the old ones out.
I have a plane that I purchased that covering came off so I need to completely recover it, I had to cut the flap hinges to remove the flaps.

If you are talking about the pin type hinges DuBro makes, I tried once to replace one that broke. Wound up doing a figure 8 hinge with dacron line. Now I use Kevlar line. H^^

Just cut it off flush, and put a new one next to it!

For CA, heat or "debonder" (nitro methane). For epoxy, heat. A monkeykote iron should work, if you have one, or a heat gun. I'd start with the iron, maybe, but only if the debonder doesn't get it. H^^ Steve

..If all else fails you can cut around the hinge and glue a fresh 1/8 or 3/16 block back in it's place then make a new clean slot.

I have recovered around the hinges by notching covering at hing location and then pulling covering through gap for some over lap. Accurate cutting is key and then position and hold with tape while attaching covering.
Have cut hinges in 2 with razor saw and then worked knife bade along top and bottom of hing
usually with damage to structure.
Hinges are a pain it the rear..... ???

cut the barrell off flush with the TE (of wing) and LE of flap/elevator. slide razor blade in on top and bottom of the hinge to cut the glue joint - pull the tab out using a sharp point on something - you kind have to "poick at it" until you can get poking out a bit - grab with pliers and pull......

I do like Dave Rowland does, do the bottom first and it will turn out fine. 'Course, it's a little late for this ship you're doing now.
