Title: Removing glue
Post by: john e. holliday on December 25, 2018, 07:28:55 PM
I seen where some one mentioned removing glue from the fingers.   As a teenager in high school I would get looks as I would be chewing glue off my fingers.   Mother would yell at me if I got some on my jeans.   She said I had an old rag to put over my lap while gluing.   Doing the cloth hinges now can't chew the glue off with dentures especially when I first got dentures many years ago.  So gluing the cloth hinges now the lue builds up enough I can peel it off.   CA I let time take care of it unless I'm glued to the plane or fingers are glued together.   Of course as some one told me rolling a pencil between the fingers will help, but go slowly.  Using the right touch, rough sandpaper like 80-ish grit works very well for scrubbing dried glue off your digits.

Acetone, same thing as nail polish remover.

From personal experience, I know that CA glue dissolves best and is removed from something, and also with a cloth dipped in nitromethane, which must be attached and held for 1-2 minutes until the glue dissolves.
