OUT FREAKING STANDING!!!!!! Now all we need to do is have someone find the episode of "Hazel" that some control line activity in it. I think it was along a similar story line, but that's OK. The shots of the hobby shop were great! Old Fred McMurry knew just what he was doing when hwe threw the rag into the prop. In the series, I think he was an aeronautical engineer, so this fit right in.

That's the neatest thing I've seen in a long time. Very cool stuff, especially the hobby shop with the "inventory". I noticed the rotating P-63 display said Wen-Mac on it, is that what the Cessnas and the Dauntlesses were too?

Thanks for posting it, I'm still smiling. H^^

Super neat show. As I remember Johnny Crawford also flew a 1/2A C/L in a movie. He was visiting his dad that owned a ranch and the noise was spooking the animals. Can you believe that a Wen Mac could do out side loops and fly inverted. My first one bearly flew level. Hmmmmmmm, was that really 55 years ago? Of course they never actually showed the plane actually doing those stunts. All in good fun.

Watch again. When Rolly flys inverted, the plane is actually flying right-side up but flying clock-wise. When Robbie flys inverted, he is flying left handed.
I could'nt tell for certain but I believe the plane was right-side up. The image was reversed in both shots. No way that WenMac flew inverted.

Regardless, I sure enjoyed watching that clip. Thanks for posting.

That was great!! Thanks for sharing. What kind of glue did he use? Grab it glue?

By the time I started watching My Three son's Chip and Robby was a little older and they adopted a younger boy with Glasses.
It was one of my favorite TV shows.

You can still watch some of the old stuff on hulu.com

One that I thought of while watching the clip is how most C/Ler's are always willing to help out the other guy. Camraderie at it's best, one of the biggest reasons I enjoy the hobby so much.

Oh, sure, I break my plane and you, feeling sorry for me , crash yours and I win. Hey, I like that. Let's do it. OH, wait, this is real life, not hookywood TV. LL~ LL~ LL~.

No Ty,

Harold had no way to go to college except to win the Air Meet scholarship. Mr. Douglas was a comfortable guy and his kids would go for sure. Chip knew this and allowed his buddy the same chance he knew he was assured of.
It's deeper than you think.
Another thing; I live in and grew up in (I think you meant to write) "hokey-wood". Witty. I was taught the golden rule, fairness and all of that just like anywhere else, or not.
I also watched the whole thing, I listened to the story, and heard the details. Fred MacMurray's nuance is great.

I saw Bob Herendeen (multi-time National Aerobatic Champion and US Team member) fly a 4 minute routine right through the time limit so another dear friend of his could win one. I think they call it sportsmanship in that case. In the My Three Sons episode it was so much bigger, it was a guys life and career.
It happens, there are those that care about others.

Rolly went to Collage and Chip went on to fly combat?

Looks like the old Wen Macs would fly a decent pattern on short lines :!

Seriously Jammie that was good.
That's going out in several emails.

Ty,
Hollywood; Since my wife is a Hollywood producer, I will take your negative jabs at the film and TV industry personally if I want.
Location; I don't make rude remarks about where you come from or where you have finally settled. It is a rude way of communication and offends people.
