Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.  Looking at some video taken of Howard Rush's and Paul Walker's models elevator movement  at some contests late this year, showed something less than 20 degrees of travel in even the tightest corners.

Being a take-apart type airplane I strongly suspect that the controls in the Yatsenko airplane are not connected to the pushrods.
It may be in the process of disassembly.

The Yatsenko's that I've seen had control throws about the same as shown on the Shark in the background.

Certainly does look funny though!

I'd agree, the Yatsenko Yak 54 (55?) in the foreground has the controls disconnected. Gary Gingerich has one of them, Randy. Maybe you've seen it? He brought it up to Eugene for two NW CL Regionals...I made the custom fuel for it and played taxi driver.  H^^ Steve
