Reading CLW
« on: December 30, 2011, 09:18:00 AM »
Don't know how many get the mag, but I got mine and after reading the versus for the day I read the mags.    Took me three nights to get thru the Control Line World, but a great article about another one of our own,  John Miller.   Very interesting reading to me about him and the others that have been covered in the past issues.  In fact I really enjoy the pictures of the contest reports as it put some faces to names I see on here.   Plus there were pics of a wedding of another young couple starting life together.   Hard to beleive Christina has grown up as I remember her as a young lady and she is still good looking.  Yes, some will say the subscription is too high, but to me is worth every penny.  Thanks to all who help put out a great publication. H^^

It comes from Brodak Clint, I definitely recommend getting yourself hooked up with this one. I think you may even be able to subscribe thru their website, otherwise you can just give them a call.

I left out one important award given at the Tulsa Gluedobbers september contest.

Doug Patterson was awarded the Charles Ash Sportsmanship award.  Charles Ash was a real sparkplug and mover and shaker down in Dallas many years ago . He left us too soon from a massive heart attack.

Doug drove all the way up to Tulsa from Louisiana to Judge at the Gluedobber contest.  He did not fly. All Doug did was help out with the contest, and judge.

This is unbelieveable dedication to the controline sport.

Thanks, Doug!

Hi Friends, Beleive you me as a contributor to CLW I am very happy to see so many positive reviews of the magazine I write for! Thanks ever so much!

The subscription rate is $30.00 per year and the funds may me mailed to Editor CLW, Brodak Manufacturing Co. Inc, 100 Park Ave. Carmichaels, PA 15320.

Of interest to me was to have been asked to write the preamble to John Miller's article. To do that I first had to read John's life long report! I found it to have been most fascinating and informative. He too is a member of the Greatest Generation with many similar memories to my own stemming from the WW II era.

Happy New Year to All!

I thought the picture of Ed Capitanelli and His Stardusters was cool, I really like the profile. I have the RSM kit soooo somewhere down the line I might have to scratch one up. Anybody know if there's plans available for the Profile ???

CLW is published quarterly.  It is easy to subscribe to.  Go to the Brodak website and click on the picture of CLW.  You can subscribe on line.

Doc
I feel honored to have two articles in the January 2012 issue.  I have had 12 articles published in CLW.

Back issues of all but the original Premiere Issue of Control Line World magazine are still available.
