Not to be outdone by some of my piers here is my favorite picture of Randy Powells Novi.

(Posted from a Mac, perhaps?) The JPG filename has a null in it, which some Windows browsers don't
recognize as a JPG file.
Beautiful model, and Randy Powell is a true modeling wizard!

It was a good flying plane. It's sitting in the rafters awaiting a rebuild of the outboard wing. Sigh...

WHAT??
What happened?

Doug, since Randy is not available, I will give what I remember,, it was last year at the NW regionals,, the skys were dark and an air of the ominous lingering about the flight circle,, Randy was putting in a good flight when suddenly, at the bottom of the hourglass the black hole opened up and sucked all the air out of the circle under his plane,, a light smack was heard followed by a non repeatable sound from the center circle,,,,, The outboard wheel whacked the tarmac and in later inspection shattered all the ribs in the outboard portion of the wing,, He managed to fly out the tank and get it on the ground safely but it was done and in need of an overhaul,,
sad, ,I really liked the color scheme and finish on it,, He does say he will rebuild it, but I know there are at least two airplanes in the works ahead of it so not sure when,,

Thanks Leo....Randy!
AWESOME STUNT MODEL EYE CANDY! H^^
Sorry to hear about that munched wing...especially on such an attractive trim paint scheme.

Donnie,
Mark description is pretty accurate. Just hit some wake turbulence. It had been windy and about the time I was doing the vertical eight, the wind stopped. I should have backed up. Oh well.
The plane will probably be stripped and repainted, unfortunately. I'll have to strip the outboard wing and I could never match the paint anyway, so it will get a new paint job. Probably similar to the old one. But that is probably for next winter.
