Rachel's latest...
« on: March 06, 2016, 09:26:34 PM »

Today, at the last Piston Popper "Club Building Session" of the season, Rachel Sandberg put the finishing touches on her new 1/2A Ringmaster. This model was her project for this seasons club winter building sessions. First, Rachel and dad Keith test ran and broke in the new Brodak .049 on the test stand until it got nice and happy. After that it was just getting the engine and tank mounted and plumbed on the airplane for the final time.

Here she's giving us a look at the latest build, all ready to fly... ;D

I like the color scheme.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I like the color scheme.

She picked out the polka-dot covering at the LHS, my eyes are still blurry from looking at it. n~

The rest of the Ringmaster scheme is all Rachel, and she designed the scheme for dad Keith's 1/2A Stunt Rocket too...

It's always fun when you can get a kid interested.  She has real potential.
