I think the amount of yaw displayed by the model as it goes around the circle is a function of line drag.  The line shape from the handle to airplane is close to a catenary curve.  The lines are almost straight from the handle to about one third of the distance to the model.  It is possible to sight down that portion of the lines to see a point on the side of the fuselage.   That position changes with respect to position on the circle relative to the wind.  It is an interesting thing to watch.

Keith,
At first I had the same thought. But then I noticed that max yaw appears at the points there lines are parallel to the wind direction. Imho in these positions only speed of a model is a player.

And so, I have reduced the size of a vertical fin on my model by quite a bit, and that immedialy fixed upwind downwind yawing. At least by the amount that I cannot longer see yawing so clearly it used to be before. There comes my next question - what position of the strips to each other should I maintain for the correct constant yaw. Should a strip marking the CG be a little ahead of a strip marking LO?
