R.F. Stevenson Memorial contest at Auburn this weekend
« on: September 05, 2012, 04:07:32 PM »
I probably won't be flying since I damaged my flying elbow last weekend. We'll have to see if the swelling is down enough. But it's a fun contest generally.

Anybody else attending?

After missing the last one I was very much looking forward to this one, but work calls ...   Have fun and may the weather be perfect.  See you at the Fall Follies in Salem.

Cheers,
Doug

I plan to arrive at the site on Friday afternoon for a looksee and to check into my circle-side motel.  Then, off to an M's game for the evening and ready to fly on Saturday morning.

I won't make it -- but you all have a good time!

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I'm beginning to think that by the time I once again am able to cross the Cascade Curtain for a CL meet I will need to have a passport.  Have fun guys, and be sure to check out the NW .40 Profile Caier event while your there.

Just checked the NOAA weather...looks excellent, but 30% chance of showers on MONDAY. The Saturday night Wing-Ding will be at Howard's (aka "Taj Rush"), BYOB.  ;D Steve

If my brother leaves Saturday AM, I'll be there both Saturday and Sunday. If he doesn't leave before I get home Saturday, I'll be in jail Sunday.   R%%%% Steve

Hi Howard,

It appears that the JCT is attempting to make a stunt contest in every state of the Union. ??

The JCT needs to come to Huntersville (Charlotte), NC for one of the two meets we have each year.  Jim Lee has become a regular!

I'm beginning to think that Howard is trying to get enough miles on his Prius to puke the batteries and thus get them replaced under warranty. Well, that or a delaying tactic for mowing the lawn.  ~>  Steve

Yes, and it needs to be noted that Howard's lawn mower is a beloved two-stroke. Does his Pious offset the planet-destroying, Omigod-we're-all-going-to-die hysterics out there? Let's hope not...

I have an electric lawnmower :-[  that's not being used (my son got to pick out his 15th birthday present, and that was it!). I'll take it over to Howard's.  :!  Steve
