Does anyone know anything about a brand of wheels called MEL-VER. The name is molded in the rubber portion and also stamped into the metal of the hub (inside side). They are hubless similar to the Banners in that the axle does not go completely through the hub. In shape and weight, they are similar to the old veco types---pretty heavy.
Anyone know era of production and who made them?

No, but that is where they will probably wind up. I bought a "Lot of Miscl. Wheels" off the Bay to get a pair of Banners, and these MEL-VERs were in the lot along with about 10 other various sizes of wheels. Vecos, Perfects, and some unidentified types. Steve, do you know anything about the MEL-VER types?
