Question for all using this site...
« on: August 05, 2006, 02:57:46 PM »
 Howdy!

Are many of you here checking out the other side of this forum containing the Speed, Carrier, Combat, OTS sections etc.? I did not know about it until one of Sparky's recent posts telling us to click on the other address shown at the top of the homepage to get there. I've been watching since, and there is practically no activity there. I know this is intended to be primarily a Stunt forum, but the other areas are quite interesting as well. We can all learn stuff from the other categories too.
Also, I'm as far as they get from a computer whiz, n~ but couldn't it be set up to be able to just access the whole works from the homepage? ;D

Thanks!

I think it will take a while for the new side of the forum to develop.

I agree with Chris.

There are really very few C/L flyers in the whole world (compared to R/C) and stunt/sport flyers are the biggest segment.  Scale, Carrier, Racing and Combat are even smaller in numbers than Stunt flyers.  We're talking in the hundreds and thousands compared to the "Hundred thousand plus" R/C guys who are in the AMA alone.

Control line flying in itself is a very small community.  The other disciplines of C/L are very interesting to me (I am working on a scale project) but it will take time to get people on board.

Please don't take this wrong Bill (and Chris), I do realize C/L is an extremely small segment. If anything, I'm just trying to spark some interest in those other disciplines. Thanks though! ;D

No problem, I was just pointing out that there just ain't too many of us, and the ones already here seem to be sport/stunt flyers.  Hopefully it will bring in some more members of our *little* society.  #^

I check them all out each time I'm on here!  y1
