On a whim I popped in at the local RC field today. I saw an airplane in an apparent wingover, but quickly realized that ain't no control line plane. This was my first time witnessing pylon racing, it looked pretty fast. Then I figured out why it looked so fast when I met Dubb Jett.
He said to say hi to the control line community, so here it is.

Flew control line speed with Johnny Shannon.

Yeah, this is where he got his start like lots of others. Many pictures of him in the old magazines. Weren't he and George Aldrich buddies from way back?
Type at you later,

Dubb Jett is one of the greats. Had a long talk with him at a NATS one year and asked him why he gave up CL. He said it was the hassle and all the effort it took. He was Senior NATS Champion in 1964, my first NATS.
