Got too many planes hanging from the rafters so I want to make a standing rack system. Does anyone have plans, advise or pics of a rack made from PVC or some kind of plastic tubing like that?
Thanks,
MM

Yeah, somebody posted a picture of theirs not long ago. Try a search. I'm sure it'll help you find that topic. LL~ Steve
PS: The "search" function here never works for me. Google works, and you can specify what website you want to search....somehow.

I did a search and read several threads. Doesn't seem to be a consensus on what size and wall thickness of tubing to use.

I wouldn't. 3/4" isn't rigid enough and will sag over time. Even schedule 40. I'd use 1" minimum.
I built mine out of 2" PVC. Might be a tad overkill, but it's solid as a rock. However, I'm going to redo mine and close up the spacing to get another 2 models on it.
(Click the pick and it turns the right direction)

What spacing for full size stunters?

I'm not sure why that's any better than PVC, but still a clever rack system.

Mine has to be free standing because, I'll have to move it from time to time.

Why does Clint store his airplanes sideways like that? LL~ Steve
edit: I know it's typical with pictures taken with a cell phone. It's odd, because if you save the picture off the forum into your PC, it won't be sideways anymore. Usually...
