Pushrod ends - Central Hobbies?
« on: May 03, 2025, 11:21:45 AM »
I’m out of these threaded pushrod ends. I use to get them from Tom and Central Hobbies. Any one have a source? Central Hobbies does seem to carry them any more.

I've just been using a simple 4-40 bolt and just cut off the head to form a threaded rod. Works well with 5 mm OD 3 mm ID CF tube.

I've used hardened 4-40 threaded rod. I have never seen a failure.

The picture shows 3/16” pushrod “tubes”.  So if “They” have them… Who are “They”??

Throw away the metal ball links.  Takes 2 to make one pushrod.  Jam nut is a big plus.

Check the R/C car parts section of the hobby shop and see if they have 4-40 turnbuckle or tie rods that short. Use the left handed thread end  f or gluing into the pushrod bore. The threads will help hold the epoxy like the grooves on the original units, maybe even better.
  Type at you later,
