Bill,  Eric sells them.  They are 5mm OD and 3mm ID.  He also has the RH and LH threaded ends for them as well.

The carbon rods and stainless steel rod ends that Eric sells come in right and left hand threads so the elevator push rod can be adjustable by just twisting it!  Slick!  Requires no extra link!  Also the rod ends slide over the rod for gluing and automatically deter splitting of the carbon rod.  No wrapping or extra gluing necessary!

Your local kite shop has them also. Probably in much larger lengths for those really big models.

No local kite shop. Google "Kite supplies" and you can buy the lengths on line.

Probably save a bunch of money buying in quantity.

The bulk purchase could work, but Bill will still need the 4-40 threaded ends. I just thought about that.  Tom Morris sells these steel ends and so does a few other vendors.

There are some miner differences with these ends.

The only ends I have experience with are those from Tom Morris.
